These SMS Terms of Service (“SMS Terms”) govern your enrollment in and use of the Jupiter Smith Account Authentication SMS program (the “Program”). By providing your mobile number and consenting to receive SMS messages from Jupiter Smith, you agree to these SMS Terms. These SMS Terms supplement, and do not replace, the Jupiter Smith general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Program Name

2. Program Description

The Program delivers SMS-based one-time passcodes (OTP) and security alerts to authenticate users and protect Jupiter Smith accounts. Messages are sent only in response to user-initiated authentication events, including:

 

This Program is for transactional account-security messages only. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this Program.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Messages are triggered by user-initiated authentication events; the number of messages you receive depends on how often you sign in or perform sensitive account actions. Most users receive between 1 and 10 messages per month.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Jupiter Smith does not charge a fee for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data rates apply to all messages sent and received. Please consult your mobile carrier for details on your plan.

6. How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message you receive from Jupiter Smith to unsubscribe from the SMS Authentication Program at any time.

After you reply STOP, you will receive a final confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from Jupiter Smith. Because SMS is used as a Multi-Factor Authentication method, opting out will require you to enroll an alternative MFA method (such as an authenticator app) to continue accessing your account.

To resume receiving SMS messages after opting out, you may re-enroll through your account security settings at https://jupitersmith.com or by contacting info@jupitersmith.com.

7. Eligibility

To enroll in the Program, you must (a) be a registered Jupiter Smith user, (b) be at least 18 years old, (c) own or have authorized access to the mobile number you provide, and (d) be located in the United States.

8. Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and others, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the effective transmission from your network operator and is not guaranteed.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are collected solely for the Jupiter Smith Account Authentication Program and will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances. 10. Changes to These SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued participation in the Program after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised SMS Terms.
